Privacy

This site collects one piece of personal data: your email address, and only if you subscribe to new posts. Nothing else. There is no analytics and there are no cookies.

What is collected and why

Your email address. Alongside it, Buttondown records the time you confirmed and the IP address you confirmed from. The purpose is one thing: sending new posts, and now and then a note about an upcoming talk. The address is never sold and never passed on.

The legal basis

Your consent, GDPR Article 6(1)(a). You give it when you click the confirmation link in the email. Until you do, the address does not go on the list.

Where it is kept

The list is held by Buttondown, a US company. They act as data processor under their data processing agreement and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Their privacy notice: buttondown.com/legal/privacy.

For how long

Until you unsubscribe. Once you do, the address is deleted from the list.

Your rights

You can see your data, correct it or have it deleted. You can withdraw consent through the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to me. If you think the data is handled badly, you can complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate: vdai.lrv.lt.

Server logs

The Railway server running this site keeps ordinary request logs. The email address is never written into them.
