How I use AI here

A site about artificial intelligence at work would be a joke if it stayed quiet about how much AI sits inside the site itself. So here is what it actually does. As of 15/08/2026.

Every post starts from my notes and an outline. Claude drafts from those, then I rewrite it myself: the structure usually survives, almost all the sentences are mine. Every fact I check by hand against the primary source, and the source list lives in an internal log, so six months later I can still see where a number came from.

Illustrations, memes and doodles

Images are generated with Recraft and nano-banana models through Higgsfield, from prompts I write myself. The titles on them are typeset by a script I wrote, not by a model. Memes and small doodles work the same way: the drawing comes from a model, the words are mine.

Code

The code for this site is written with Claude Code, and I read and accept every change myself. There are no comments here, no analytics, no tracking pixels. The only form on the site is the signup, and it posts the address straight to Buttondown.

What AI does not do here

It does not decide what to write. It does not run the experiments. It does not check the facts for me. Those three stay with me, because that is where the responsibility for anything written here actually sits.

The practice will change: models change every few months, and so does what I trust them with. When it does, I rewrite this page and change the date at the top.
